Lakewood bar temporarily closing after neon sign catches fire, causing damage

LAKEWOOD, Ohio (WOIO) - A bar in Lakewood is temporarily closing after a neon sign caught fire Sunday evening.

Wine Dive Cle, located at 16918 Detroit Ave. in Lakewood, was hosting an employee appreciation party Sunday evening when its “Wine Dive” neon sign caught fire.

Wine Dive Cle said on social media that one of the bartenders was quick to react and extinguished the fire before catastrophic damage or injuries occurred.

The resulting damages will take time to repair before the bar can safely operate.

Wine Dive Cle said its beyond grateful to say everyone involved was safe, for the incident could have resulted in a horrific devastation.

The bar shared its appreciation for the support and said it looks forward to serving customers soon.
