Northeast Ohio Weather: A warming trend begins this weekend

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - This morning’s few, stray flurries will give way to a Saturday that features more and more sunshine and highs in the upper 30s to low 40s across the area as we begin another warming trend.

Palm Sunday brings the return of seasonable temperatures with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s. This warming trend will set the stage for a mild week next week.

Highs next week look to be well above average for the end of March and first few days of April. Temperatures in the 60s to near 70 will feel pleasant, but expect a daily chance for showers and possibly a few storms as we transition into an unsettled weather pattern.

We are still keeping a close eye on the forecast for Friday for the Guardians Home Opener. A late week front could potentially keep some rain around the area, but confidence is still low in how exactly the timing will work with that next front. Temperatures behind the front look to cool into the 50s by the end of the week. We are still over a week out, so we expect changes with data, but that’s at least an early look at where the forecast stands as of today.
