Carbon monoxide deaths: Family identifies 5 victims, 4th child to be taken off life support
4-year-old boy to be taken off life support, according to mother
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Four people are dead and a 4-year-old boy in critical condition will be taken off life support Friday after a suspected accidental carbon monoxide poisoning incident that left five people unconscious inside a vehicle on July 15, according to the children’s mother.
Family members have identified the victims:
- Stone “Stoner” Coleman, 2
- Storm “Butterfly” Coleman, 3
- Liberty “Peach” Coleman, 4
- Legacy “Ace” Coleman, 4, Liberty’s twin who is being taken off life support
- Candace “Big Mama/Kandie” McAllister, 36, grandmother
Toledo Police said officers were called to the 300 block of Phillips Avenue, near Detroit Avenue, around 11:10 a.m. on July 15 for a report of unconscious people in a vehicle. The adult in the car had called the children’s father to report a flat tire. When the father arrived, he found all five people unconscious.
