CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Browns have locked up veteran safety Grant Delpit with a three-year extension worth $16 million per year, including $35 million guaranteed, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The deal is worth $48 million in total.

The news broke about 20 minutes into the Browns’ first training camp practice, as Delpit was not on the field while the extension was being finalized. The 27-year-old was entering the final year of his four-year contract.

Cleveland also locked up cornerback Denzel Ward on Tuesday, signing him to a two-year, $62.2 million extension.
