Road closed in Springfield Township due to vehicle fire, utility pole damage

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - The Mogadore and Springfield Township Police Departments are reporting a road closure due to a vehicle on fire.

According to police, the single-vehicle crash happened at 3:45 p.m. and is on fire in the 200 block of Columbine Avenue in Springfield Township.

Police said a utility pole is involved and some residents in the area may experience a power outage.

Ohio Edison has been notified, and police said it has no additional information to share at this time.

Police are asking those to avoid the area.
