6 children, 2 adults injured after jumping from burning Cleveland home

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Eight people have minor injuries from a house fire late Friday evening, the Cleveland Division of Fire confirms.

According to Cleveland Fire, a report for a residential fire came in around 11:35 p.m. Friday at 3193 W 82nd Street.

Six adults and two children were transported to MetroHealth for minor injuries and in stable condition.

A grandmother who lives across the street told19 News that the six children and two adults had to jump from the second floor.

Cleveland EMS says the children were ages 2, 5, 11, 14, 16 and 17. The two adults were a 34-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man.

The total amount in damages is $75,000.

The cause of the fire was determined as accidental and the Red Cross was called to assist the family, Cleveland Fire says.
