‘Go Brownies!’: Browns fans pack the Muni Lot for home opener

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -Browns fans packed out the Muni Lot once again to celebrate another unforgettable home opener in downtown Cleveland.

Fans said the energy was unmatched, fueled by a previous win and the realization that downtown home openers are numbered ahead of the team’s planned move to a new dome stadium in Brook Park for the 2029 season.

Dedicated tailgaters arrived as early as 6 a.m. to claim their spots, with one fan sharing their excitement to be surrounded by fellow die-hards.

“We are excited to see people as motivated as we are!” Tamika Goodson said.

The crowd drew fans from near and far, including one tailgater who traveled across the border from Canada to take part in the tradition.

“I’ve never seen it go this far down the parking lot and I’ve been to many since 2008,” Eliot Bridgohl said.

While fans celebrate the home opener in their own ways, everyone is keeping an eye on the countdown to Brook Park. Still, fans insisted a change of scenery will never dampen their spirit—and they had a blunt warning for any opponent stepping foot in Cleveland

“Get ready to pack up and go home. Because you are going to lose today,” Brenda Richardson said.
