BCI investigating fatal officer-involved shooting in Akron

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - Agents with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) are investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting in Akron.

This happened Thursday morning in the 500 block of Brown St.

According to Dominic Binkley with the Ohio Attorney General’s office, no officers were injured.

One person involved in the incident was pronounced dead at Summa Health System - Akron Campus.

19 News has confirmed the shooting involved the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

The task force consists of various members of law enforcement from surrounding agencies.
