4 Murders in 4 Days: Violent week in Cleveland
The past seven days have been a violent week in Cleveland. In fact, in less than seven days four young men, all in their 20's, were murdered on the east side.
Including one very close to a school, Robert Jamison at Moses Cleveland.
Freddie Bogarty's family wants answers and feels that they may have been captured in the security camera's that line the outside walls at the school.
A sister wasn't home to comment, but has told 19 Action News she will go to the school to see if there is a clue to be had in the Thursday murder.
It began with the shooting of Larry Smith at Rainbow Terrace Estates near Garden Valley on Monday.
"We do have forgiveness in our hearts for what you did to our son," said a friend of Larry Smith.
Wednesday brought the shooting of Donald Williams, triggering a vigil. It was a crime that happened in front of his two-year-old son.
"It's affecting him now. We're are seeing it in his behavior," said a William family member.
His girlfriend, who saw the face of one of the men that broke into his apartment, didn't dare attend for fear of a payback.
In the increasingly violent streets of Cleveland it was a theme we saw repeated. No one wanted to talk.
The bloody week ended with the shooting of Rayshawn Armstrong on Friday. A man we documented who was shot in the back on MLK back in 2008.
Sadly, death by gunfire has spawned a support group.
"I come to you today as part of Williams' extended family and the mother of a murdered son," said a Clevelander.
Three of the four men had previous brushes with the law but nothing explains the killings.
There appears only one common thread among the four murdered men -- all were killed with handguns.
