U.S. Marshals, Cleveland police arrest fugitive wanted for 2 murders; including 3-year-old boy
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested the fugitive wanted for two murders in Cleveland; including the Sept. 28 fatal shooting of a 3-year-old boy, the Cleveland Division of Police confirmed at 8 p.m. on Oct. 2.
According to Cleveland police, Devonte Parker, 28, fired multiple shots on W. 66th Street and the 3-year-old was shot in the back through his car seat while sitting inside his mother’s car.
Luis Diaz was pronounced dead at MetroHealth Medical Center.
Cleveland police said Parker is also wanted for a murder on May 21.
Jalen Dalton was shot and killed while sitting inside his car on East 75th Street.
“Upon receiving initial information of the recent homicide, Cleveland detectives from the 1st and 2nd districts alongside Gang Impact Unit/Narcotics Unit worked tirelessly with the homicide unit and USMS to arrest Parker,” Cleveland Division of Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Wilfredo Diaz stated. “Today’s effort is a great example of the partnership the USMS and CDP have and the dedication our members have to our community.”
