Springfield Township looking for man connected to string of thefts

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - Police in Springfield Township are searching for a man they say is connected to a string of thefts.

Officers say they do not know the identity of the man involved in three thefts, at least one of which is outside of the Springfield township jurisdiction.

The first theft happened at a business on South Arlington Road Tuesday morning, police say.

The man was later seen in a Walmart police say, and walked out with stolen merchandise.

He was wearing blue jeans and got into a rental car with a woman in the passenger seat, officers report.

The rental car license plate reads LJL1099 from New York, according to police.
