Elizabeth Kingsley-Cfrenic was only 10 years old when Christine vanished from Elyria.
Decades later, the pain and unanswered questions linger.
“Imagine losing your sister,” Kingsley-Cfrenic said. “Not to an illness, not to an accident... but to the unknown.”
Christine disappeared after being taken to a juvenile housing facility that no longer exists.
The original investigation was reportedly incomplete, leaving many questions unanswered.
“They kind of failed her, in my opinion they failed her,” Kingsley-Cfrenic said of the police investigation.
Christine’s mother and other sisters have since passed away, leaving Elizabeth as the sole remaining family member seeking answers.
“The hardest part is not knowing,” she said. “Your mind is constantly wondering: Is she held against her will? Is she happy? Is she loved? Is she healthy?”
Kingsley-Cfrenic remains hopeful, vowing to “search until the day I die.”
Anyone with information about Christine Kingsley’s disappearance is urged to contact the Elyria Police Department.
