Apparent murder-suicide in Richland County

MANSFIELD, Ohio (WOIO) - A man and a woman are dead after an apparent murder-suicide at an apartment last week.

Mansfield police officers responded to the 300 block of Wood St. around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8 after neighbors reported hearing gunshots.

When they arrived, they said they found both victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

The woman was pronounced dead a short time later at Ohio Health and the man died several hours later.

Detectives said they do not believe additional people are involved in the shooting.
