Man injured in South Euclid house fire

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio (WOIO) - One man was injured in a house fire Monday evening.

South Euclid firefighters responded to the home in the 1800 block of Maywood Rd. around 7 p.m.

Fire Chief David Csire said the victim was found outside the house near the treelawn.

EMS transported him to MetroHealth Medical Center, where Chief Csire said he is being treated for burns.

The victim’s name and condition have not been released. No firefighters were injured.

Chief Csire added the cause of the fire remains under investigation, but damage is estimated at $150,000.
