RTA rail services replaced with buses for the weekend

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Some RTA rail services will be down until Monday and replaced with buses.

The Red, Blue and Green Line rail services between Tower City and E 55 stations will be replaced with #66R and #67R buses for signal testing for the Tower City East Portals project.

According to the release, the Red Line will operate between Stokes—Windermere and E 55 Station and between Tower City and the Airport.

The replacement bus #66R will fill the gap between Tower City and E 55 Station. Red Line passengers can ride either #66R or #67R buses between those two stations but must read the destination sign when boarding at E 55 Station.

The Blue and Green Line trains will not operate

According to the release, the replacement bus #67R will operate between Tower City and Green Road Station and between Tower City and Warrensville - Van Aken Station.

The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority said that both branches of the #67R will serve E 55 Station to help passengers who usually transfer there.

Neither replacement bus will stop at Tri-C-Campus District Station, but those wishing to access this station can use the #15: Union - Harvard or #19-19A-19B: Broadway bus lines.

According to the release, the Tower City stop is located on West Prospect at West 3rd, so riders should look for the orange #66R and #67R bus stop signs to board the rail replacement buses.

There will be no RTA service to Waterfront stations during this weekend.

According to the release, the two replacement buses are set to operate the same hours and frequency as the Red, Blue, and Green train lines during the shutdown.
