Double deadly shooting in Lorain parking lot under investigation; no arrests

LORAIN, Ohio (WOIO) - Two people have died following a Friday shooting in Lorain, and officers say the gunman remains on the loose.

One victim was pronounced dead on the scene, while the other passed away later Friday.

Lorain Police said officers responded for a call of shots fired around 5 p.m. on Friday, April 11 in the parking lot of the 1100 block of Tower Blvd.

When they arrived, a 21-year-old Lorain man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Larry Moore Jr.

A second victim, a 17-year-old boy, died from his gunshot injuries after being flown by LifeFlight to MetroHealth Medical Center.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified him as J’Zier Gaddy, of Lorain.

Lorain Captain Jacob Morris previously said one man believed to be involved in the double shooting was detained at the scene; however, no charges have been filed.

On Monday, police said no arrests have been made at this time.
