Canton teen wanted for deadly shooting

CANTON, Ohio (WOIO) - Canton Police obtained a warrant for a Canton 18-year-old accused of fatally shooting a 21-year-old Thursday night.

According to a release from Canton Police, officers responded to a home in the 1500 block of Clarendon Avenue SW after multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting around 8:45 p.m.

Officers found 21-year-old Stephon Dunn in the yard with a gunshot wound to his back.

According to the release, officers performed CPR until the Canton Fire Department arrived to transport Dunn to Aultman Hospital, where he later died.

Investigators identified 18-year-old Malachi Lee-Shawn Fortner of Canton as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Police said the incident remains under investigation.
