Maple Heights police search for suspects in drive-by shooting

MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio (WOIO) - Maple Heights police launched a search Monday for suspects in a drive-by shooting.

According to police, their investigation started around 4:15 a.m. with officers checking out a broken window at a car lot on Broadway Avenue.

While they were waiting on the business owner, officers say they spotted a black Dodge Durango in the area.

As the vehicle continued southbound on Broadway Avenue, someone inside starting shooting multiple rounds, according to police.

Thankfully, no one was hurt.

Police say the suspects sped away in the Durango, which later officers later learned was stolen.

The shooting remains under investigation.
