WANTED: Major drug offender from Parma takes off before sentencing
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -This week’s Cuyahoga’s Most Wanted features a Parma man who pleaded guilty to drug trafficking but never showed up to be sentenced.
According to Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County, in June, Darryl Benson pleaded guilty to trafficking guns with a firearm.
Authorities consider him a major drug offender based on the large amount of methamphetamine and cocaine he was was trying to traffic.
Benson had previously been convicted of a felony, which means he was not supposed to be have any weapons.
He was scheduled to be sentenced but never showed so a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Benson is facing the following list of charges:
- Trafficking offense (firearm specification) x2
- Drug possession (firearm specification) x3
- Trafficking offense (major drug offender)
- Having weapons while under disability
- Possessing criminal tools
Benson is 5’8” and 195 pounds, and was last known to be staying in the 6200 block of Gilbert Avenue in Parma.
