Body found at Rumpke recycling facility in St. Bernard

ST. BERNARD, Ohio (WXIX) - Rumpke employees were forced to shut down operations at the recycling facility after a body was found Friday morning.

According to Rumpke spokesperson Molly Yeager, the body was discovered just before noon when an incoming truck brought in materials to be sorted for recycle.

Recycling operations stopped immediately, and Elmwood Place and St. Bernard police were notified, Yeager said.

Investigators are still working with the Rumpke team to figure out what happened to the victim and how they ended up at the recycling facility.

Yeager said Rumpke service is not impacted.
