$1 million worth of DMT seized in Stark County drug bust

STARK COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - Approximately 10 kilograms of the hallucinogenic drug Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) with a potential street value of over $1,000,000 was seized during a drug bust at a Stark County home Friday.
The bust was executed by the Stark County Sheriff’s Office Metro Narcotics Unit along with Homeland Security, the United States Postal Service, FBI Safe Streets Task Force, the Canton City Police Department Special Investigations Unit, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol, according to the Stark County Sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office said the search warrant was executed at a home in the 1600 block of St. Elmo Avenue NE in Canton, following an investigation into drug trafficking stemming from the discovery of a shipment of drugs mailed to the home.
37-year-old Julian Barnett of Canton was arrested and charged with one count of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, and Aggravated Possession of Drugs both charges are felonies.
