Woman arrested with meth, machetes at Summit County motel

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A 51-year-old woman was arrested inside a motel room over the weekend with what Springfield Township police said was a “substantial quantity of methamphetamine” and 11 meth pipes.

Springfield Township Police Officer Ty Klapp said Christina Miller also had two machetes close to her, “posing a serious concern to public safety.”

According to police, Officer Klapp went to the motel on Massillon Road on Sunday as part of an investigation into drug-related activity.

Miller has been booked into the Stark County Jail on charges of bulk methamphetamine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

“We are grateful for Officer Klapp’s unwavering commitment to protecting our community and commend his swift action in apprehending Ms. Miller,” posted Springfield Township police on Facebook.
