Canton firefighter indicted for pandering sexual material involving child

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A Canton firefighter was arraigned on multiple charges of pandering sexual material involving minors.

According to Summit County court documents, Mason Molina, 21, faces three counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person.

He was arraigned on these charges Tuesday, according to court documents.

19 News reached out to the Canton Fire Department and confirmed Molina was employed by the Canton Fire Department.

Video on the Canton Fire Department’s Facebook page shows Molina being sworn in on May 18, 2021.

Division Chief Steve Henderson said Molina has, however, submitted his resignation.

The indictment was originally filed on April 26, according to court documents.

On Tuesday, Molina’s bond was set at $5,000 under the condition Molina does not use the internet while out on bond.

He is due in court again July 9 for his pretrial.
