Mobile driver’s licenses can now be used at Hopkins
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - If you are flying out of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, you are now allowed to use your mobile driver’s license, including Ohio driver’s licenses and state ID’s in Apple Wallet, at security check points.
“Having this technology available in Cleveland is such a great win for our guests,” said Bryant L. Francis, C.M., Director of Port Control. “The added convenience streamlines the process while adding an extra layer of security and privacy.”

According to TSA Ohio Federal Security Director Don Barker, mobile licenses enhance security, reduce touchpoints, and provide greater privacy protections to individuals.
To present an Ohio driver’s license or ID in Apple Wallet at a TSA checkpoint, travelers double-click the side button of their device, select their driver’s license or state ID, and then hold their device near a TSA reader.
“I’m pleased that Ohioans will have expanded opportunities to use this innovative and convenient new ID tool as part of their travel plans,” said Ohio BMV Registrar Charlie Norman.
