Lightning strikes Twinsburg home, police say
Several other areas were hit with big lightning strikes
TWINSBURG, Ohio (WOIO) - Lightning caused havoc in Northeast Ohio Wednesday. A house was struck in Twinsburg Wednesday afternoon.
Twinsburg Police confirmed that Meadow Boulvard is closed at Parkview Drive and Scenic View Drive due to lightning striking a home.
19 News crews are on their way to the scene.
Lightning is causing issues across Northeast Ohio, including Chardon and Lorain County.
Chardon Fire is warning of downed wires and power outages after multiple lightning strikes to buildings and wires in the area of Chardon Square.
Firefighters provided some tips on lightning safety in a Facebook post.
