31-year-old man fatally shot in Sagamore Hills
SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - Police are investigating the murder of a man in Sagamore Hills.
According to the Summit County Medical Examiner, police were called out to Shearer Road, near Carlin Road, around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Sagamore Hills Police Chief David Hayes said the victim, a 31-year-old man who lived on Carlin Road, got into the rear seat of a vehicle occupied by a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old boy.
Numerous shots were then fired inside the vehicle, said Chief Hayes.
Witnesses told police the two males dragged the victim out of the car before driving away.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the 31-year-old, later identified as Adam Lemner, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries early Thursday morning. His name has not been released.
Chief Hayes said the car, still occupied by the two other men, was located at North Coast Behavioral Health in Sagamore Hills.
The 20-year-old had also been shot and EMS transported him to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition. His name is also not being released.
The vehicle was impounded and will be processed, said Chief Hayes.
Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) agents were called to help with the investigation.
