Woman shot and killed in Akron

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - Akron Police responded to the 400 block of Stanton Avenue for a reported shooting early Monday morning.

According to Akron police, a 20-year-old woman was found with a sustained gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene by Akron Fire paramedics.

The victim was identified as Ti’chara Y. Williams, 20, of Baberton.

Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded and are in the early stages of the investigation.
