Woman hospitalized in serious condition after Denison Avenue shooting, Cleveland police report

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Second District detectives with Cleveland police are investigating a shooting Saturday that left a woman hospitalized in serious condition.

Police say officers received a call about a woman who had been shot in the 6700 block of Denison Avenue.

When police arrived at the scene, they located a 60-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her leg.

Cleveland EMS said it responded to the area and transported the woman to Metro in serious condition.

Police report that the Cleveland Police Crime Scene Unit processed the scene for evidence.

Police added that Second District detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
