Canton man dies in motorcycle crash

STARK COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A motorcyclist was killed Monday afternoon when he crashed into an SUV in Canton.

According to Canton Police, Periklis Barry Giamourides, 56, of Canton, was traveling eastbound on 25th St NW at a high rate of speed around 12:30 p.m.

Giamourides struck the driver’s side of a Nissan Rouge that was turning into a private drive in the 900 block of 25th St NW.

Police said the driver of the Nissan was not injured and is not suspected of being under the influence of drgs or alcohol.

Giamourides was transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
