Akron police release photo of SUV suspected in deadly hit-and-run crash
Investigators say speed was a factor in the crash that killed a pedestrian
AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - Akron police released a photo Wednesday in connection to a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian.
Investigators said the driver of this SUV is believed to be involved in the death of Jesse McCool, 38.
The crash happened when McCool was crossing South Main Street near East Miller Avenue Saturday night.
Officers said the driver hit McCool and kept going. The victim died from his injuries Sunday night.
Police describe the car as a tan Cadillac SRX with tinted windows. It likely has an Ohio license plate beginning with ‘KYL’.
Investigators said speed was a suspected factor.
