Canal Fulton–Lawrence Township Fire Department rescues 3 adults, 1 child after crash

STARK COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - The Canal Fulton–Lawrence Township Fire Department rescued three adults and one child after a motor vehicle crash in Lawrence Township Wednesday.

According to the department, crews responded to a crash on Marshallville Street NW in Lawrence Township at 10:05 a.m.

When crews arrived at the scene, they found that the vehicle had left the roadway and entered a wooded area.

Crews were able to rescue three adults and one child.

The department said crews removed the occupants from the vehicle by performing an extrication using hydraulic rescue equipment commonly known as the “Jaws of Life.”

The department reports that crews stabilized the vehicle, completed the extrication and provided patient care on scene.
