75 arrests made during ‘Operation Clean House’ in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - U.S. Marshal Pete Elliot and other agencies announced Wednesday that over 70 fugitives were arrested during a two-week operation in the Cleveland area.

According to a release, Operation Clean House took place September 14 through September 25 with members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) along side the the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of the Inspector General (HUD-OIG).

The agencies were developing information about wanted fugitives living in HUD housing in the Cleveland area.

In Cleveland, the release said 68 fugitives who were utilizing the HUD housing were arrested.

Additionally, seven other people who who were encountered during the operation were arrested for outstanding felony warrants.

During the investigations and arrests, three individuals were found to be in possession of firearms.

The release did not share the names of the individuals arrested.
