No injuries reported in Akron residential fire

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - The Akron Fire Department responded to a report of a residential fire early Wednesday morning.

According to Akron Fire, the report was made in the 1800 block of Manchester Road for light smoke in the area.

When crews arrived they found light smoke showing from the roof of a 2-story residence.

The home was unoccupied at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters say the fire was found in the living room of the home, and was quickly extinguished.

The Fire Investigation Unit was called to conduct an investigation.
