14-year-old girl found shot on Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority property, CMHA says

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority confirmed police found a 14-year-old girl shot on CMHA property in broad daylight.

The CMHAPD officers encountered the victim with a gunshot wound to her foot on Haltnorth Walk around 5 p.m. on Feb. 6, according to CMHA.

The officers administered first aid until Cleveland EMS arrived to take her to MetroHealth Medical Center, CMHA said.

CMHA stated she is stable and expected to recover.

CMHAPD took a suspect into custody, CMHA confirmed, and the investigation is ongoing.

CMHA did not specify where the exactly the shooting happened.
